WE’RE REDEMPTION CENTER EXPERTS!

What is a Redemption Center?

Redemption CenterThe Redemption Center is a method of awarding prizes. When a student plays a game they are awarded points instead of prizes, based on what place level they achieve (1st, 2nd, consolation). They can then take the points they win and visit the Redemption Center which is a table filled with prizes.

What are the advantages of using a Redemption Center?

With the Redemption Center prize method, players can collect points and select the prizes they want to win. This makes for happier students and parents as they are able to redeem for prizes larger than those they win when you give out prizes at each game. It also allows you to keep the prizes together in one central location, giving you better control of the inventory.

What are the disadvantages?

One of the few disadvantages of the Redemption Center is that you will require additional volunteers to run it.

How do I organize and set up my Redemption Center and how many volunteers will I need?

Usually 2 to 3 focused volunteers can set up a Redemption Center in about 2 hours. Fun Services
provides easy to use paperwork and diagrams to assist you with set up.

What is the value of one Redemption Center point?

Each redemption point has a standard value of 5 cents.

How do I select the prizes?

You may select the prizes from our novelty catalog or you can have our experienced Fun Services staff select the prizes for you. Because you know that each redemption point is worth 5 cents, you know that a 1 point prize should be in the 5 cent range, a 2 point prize in the 10 cent range, etc. etc. Fun Services also provides worksheets to help you slot prizes in the appropriate point category and how many different point categories you should have. (Remember to select both girl and boy type prizes or opt to use generic type selections.)

How many prizes will I need?

Because it is very difficult to predict which prizes children will select, you should expect to have some prizes leftover at the end of your event. However, Fun Services has worksheets that will suggest how many prizes to place in a standard Redemption Center.

What if I don’t select enough prizes?

Because of the difficulty in knowing what point ranges children will select prizes, we offer an Emergency Box to customers. For a $15.00 packing/tracking fee we will include a box of prizes with point values ranging between 1 – 80 points. If your Redemption Center runs low in any given point category, you can use the Emergency Box as back-up using from it the items you require. At the end of the event you inventory and send back the leftover prizes in the Emergency Box. You will be invoiced for the items that you do not return.

How do I know how many redemption points to give the player when they play the game?

On our game instructions sheets, Fun Services lists how many points to award based on a 40 – 60% profit to your group. We feel this is a very fair amount as it gives your students the ability to redeem for nice prizes while still giving your parent group a good profit amount.
